Arrival in the capital of Japan and transfer to the hotel by shuttle bus. Tokyo is a dazzling metropolis rich in history and tradition. Rest of the day free to start discovering this exciting city of contrasts and its delicious cuisine. Overnight stay in Tokyo.
Today, embark on an exciting excursion to iconic Mount Fuji and Hakone. The bus heads up to the 5th Station along the Subaru Line, at 2,300 metres above sea level. At this height, you will be amazed by the breathtaking views from above the clouds. After lunch, visit Ashi Crater Lake and admire the superb view of Mt. Fuji whilst sailing on the lake. Take the short journey to the peak of Mt. Komagatake and then a cable car ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine, Mototsumiya, that nestles at the top of the mountain. Return to Tokyo. Overnight stay in Tokyo.
Please note: If road conditions or unforeseen circumstances restrict the ascent to the 5th station, you will instead travel the highest elevation possible considering the circumstances. The same also applies for the cruise on Ashi Crater Lake; if conditions or circumstances prevent sailing on the lake, alternative visits and experiences will be taken to replace the activity.
Today, take a tour of the city of Tokyo including many of the most emblematic sights in the city. See the vibrant neighbourhood of Harajuku, the charming Meiji Shrine and the National Diet Building. Discover the magnificent Imperial Palace, the primary residence of the Japanese Emperor before passing through the varied districts of the city to arrive at Asakusa. Asakusa retains all the charms of 'old Tokyo', with its traditional architecture, craft shops and food stalls. Here you can marvel at Senso-ji temple and Kaminari-mon Gate. End the tour at Tokyo Station and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Tokyo.
Using your Japan Rail Pass, travel to Kanazawa, a historical jewel of a city and home to some of Japan's most beautiful landscaped gardens. We recommend visiting Kenrokuen, a castle garden originating from the 17th century. Enjoy strolling in the picturesque landscapes. Overnight in Kanazawa.
Enjoy a day at your leisure in Kanazawa, exploring the cultural delights and historic districts of the city. We recommend an optional morning tour to get a good overview of the city and it's most emblematic sights.* Overnight stay in Kanazawa.

We recommend visiting Mount Hiei and its main temple in the Buddhist school Tendaishū or explore Pontocho, an emblematic neighbourhood known for its traditional architecture and geishas. Overnight stay in Kyoto.
Today, embark on a morning guided tour of Kyoto with lunch included and discover some of Japan's most important historical and cultural centres including Niji-jo Castle, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The historical castle was completed in 1626 and was built to provide lodging for Tokugawa Shogun. It was also used as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. Visit Kinkaku-Ji Temple, a World Heritage Site also known as the Golden Pavilion. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and it is surrounded by a beautiful lake. Discover Kyoto Imperial Palace and its spectacular garden or visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, famous for housing the God of Scholarship. The shrine is beautiful to visit during the spring plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons. Rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight stay in Kyoto.

Spend the morning at your leisure in Osaka, exploring the sights or simply relaxing at your leisure. We recommend an afternoon walking tour of the city for a good overview of its most emblematic sights.* In the evening, transfer to the airport for an overnight flight to Malé, in the Maldives.
